When Tom from Aldora Britain Records asked us to contribute a song to help raise funds for 4-year-old Loxley Johnson in his fight against cancer, we immediately said yes. Just a few days later, the 50-track compilation “Young River Poet Vol. 11” was released on Bandcamp – featuring a rich mix of Americana, Folk, Indie, Punk, Roots, Singer-Songwriter, Garage Rock and more. We are proud to be part of this release with our song “Wrong Train.”
Some background: Loxley is the son of Canadian singer-songwriter Jo Johnson, member of the River Poets and a close friend of Aldora Britain Records. Beyond the emotional hardship, the family now faces huge financial challenges – from extra medical treatments and hospital stays to the time off work needed to become full-time caregivers.
