Interview with 15questions
We did a great interview with Tobias Fischer for his web magazine 15 Questions (in English) about our new album „Electric Mirror“. If you wanna know more details about the de/reconstruction of the songs, don’t miss this one! And thank you so much, Tobias, for the profound questions. READ HERE
OUT NOW: Electronic album „Electric Mirror“ just in time for our tour with Front Line Assembly
Half a year after the release of our latest album „Where The Deep Ends“ we are releasing an album with electronic remakes of our songs – just in time for our European tour as support for Front Line Assembly.
„Electric Mirror“, the title of the album, is not a classic remix album, but was produced entirely by us. All songs that are known as rock versions from the formation’s previous albums have been given new electronic arrangements, remodeled and re-recorded vocals by singer Sascha Blach. The musical spectrum of the album ranges from club-friendly, driving numbers to quiet, ambient tracks that sound spherical, wide and weightless.
Sascha is also accompanied by three guests on the microphone. A new version of „Cardboard Cities“ was recorded with the Berlin choir Stimmgewalt, in which Sascha and the choir embark on a powerful duet that gives you goosebumps. In the super-melancholic „In This House Of Sadness“, Behind Your Fear singer Stefanie Duchêne can be heard as a guest singer, who some may still know as the singer of Flowing Tears. In „Time And Tide Wait For No Man“, on the other hand, it gets clubbier and harder and Sascha delivers a striking duet with Die Kammer frontman Marcus Testory.
Released on Friday, November 22nd as a CD and digitally via COP International. You can order the CD exclusively in our Winter Solitude Shop or on Bandcamp or listen to it on Spotify.

“This House Of Sadness”: Joint single by The Halo Trees & Stefanie Duchêne
We are delighted that another single from the upcoming electronica album “Electric Mirror” (release date: November 22nd) by THE HALO TREES is being released today. A new version of “This House Of Sadness” together with Stefanie Duchêne (Behind Your Fear, ex-Flowing Tears), who sings the song as a duet with Sascha Blach. The deep voices of the two give you goosebumps and a sea of melancholy, we think. We are very grateful to Stefanie for “lending” us her wonderful voice for the song.
The track is available from today on all streaming and download platforms and as a free download on Bandcamp. Feel free to write us in the comments if you have listened to it.

“Electric Mirror” – The Halo Trees announce electronic album
Half a year after the release of our latest album „Where The Deep Ends“ we already have the next release in the pipeline. To coincide with our European tour as support for Front Line Assembly we are releasing an album with electronic remakes of some of our songs. As a first appetizer, the first single „Alone In A Room Full Of Mirrors“ is available from today on all streaming and download platforms. On Bandcamp it is even available as a free download.
„Electric Mirror“, the title of the upcoming album, is not a classic remix album, but was produced by us ourselves. All songs have been given new electronic arrangements and re-recorded vocals by Sascha, presenting a completely new facet of the band’s sound. It will be released on November 22nd, 2024 as a digital release and CD via COP International. There are also a few exciting guests. More on that soon.
The first single „Alone In A Room Full Of Mirrors“ is a song that was only available in the original rock version as a bonus track on the first album „Antennas To The Sky“. The new version is a super atmospheric track between ambient and electronica – spherical, wide, timeless and weightless. Completely different to everything we’ve done before, but we love this version.

New single „Wrong Train“ + Album pre-order
Before the new The Halo Trees album “Where The Deep Ends” will be released via COP International on June 7, 2024, the Berlin band is presenting another single from it today, “Wrong Train”. “Wrong Train” is a hypnotic, catchy track with a dark tone that combines the best of post-punk, indie rock and dark rock. The deep, narrative vocals are carried by meditative drums, melancholic violins and an intelligent interplay of guitars, bass and Rhodes piano. The album “Where The Deep Ends” will be released in a bundle with the 50-page appendix book of the same name by singer/guitarist Sascha Blach, which deepens and expands the content of the lyrics in pictures, short stories, philosophical texts, poems and comments. “Wrong Train” can now be heard on all streaming and download platforms. On June 6th the band will play their record release concert at the Art Stalker Club in Berlin.

Can dark music make you happy? Sascha philosophizes about THE HALO TREES‘ „Happy Man“
Podcasts, anyone?
The Halo Trees singer/guitarist Sascha Blach recorded an essay in which he philosophizes about the background of our latest single „Happy Man“ and reflects on the big question of what actually makes us happy. It’s available in German and English on Youtube, each version lasts just under 18 minutes, so give yourself some time for it. Good for car rides, walks or a glass of wine.
